In our'ctober 26, 2973 letter concerning the Hig~hessur'e. Coolant Injection (HPCI) System status bIe committed to the per'formance of an off-site poier test utilizing ener'gy from other than the Normal Off-site Supply.
I Ve ar'e pleased to inform you that the testing has been completed, qs committed, during the Spzing 2874 Refueling Outage.
As vas stated in the Octobez'978 lettez, vazious modifications had to be made to our Bennetts Bz'idge Hydr'o Electz'ic Station to pzevent possible damage to station components and to enhance the system reliability and pezfozmance. These modifications n)ere made pz'ior to conducting the test.
The results of the test have been r'evimed by both On-site and Off-site Revim Committees. They have concluded that all pre-operational r'equirements for the HPCI System have been completed and that this is a c los ed @terna A complete z'eport of the test and z'esults thereof vill be included in the July 1874 Semi-Annual Report.
Very truly your's, 4'nn R.R. Schneider i Vice President Electzic Oper'ations J~
