Re:

Nine Mile Point Unit I Docket No. 50-220 The Technical Supplement to Petition for Conversion from Provisional Operating License to Full-Term Operating License indicated that we planned to have a Containment Atmospheric Dilution.System operable by 1974.

However, it was not feasible to firm up the design of this system until the Commission's review process was completed, which extended well into this year.

This letter is to advise that we now plan to have this system operable by the Fall of 1976.

In the interim, capability for nitrogen addition and manual venting will be maintained.

This system and all of its components will be designed to engineered safeguard standards.

Further, this system will have the capability to sample individual points in the containment.
