Dear Mr. Case:
In a March 16, 1978 letter, Mr. Regan of your staff requested information concerning any addition of transmission facilities occasioned by the co-ownership of Nine Mile Point Unit 2.
No additional transmission facilities have been constructed or are planned to be constructed as a result of the co-ownership by Central Hudson Gas and Electric, Long Island Lighting Company, New York State Electric and Gas Corporation, Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation and Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation.
The only transmission facilities to be constructed are the nine miles of the Volney transmission line and a substation.
These transmission facilities are described in Section 3.2 of the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Environmental Report-Construction Permit stage.
