App3,icant~s principal contractor, General Electric Company, is conducting a
research and development
- program, the results of ehich, vrL11 resolve, inber alia, possible safety questions, if any, with respect Co Chose features or components of Applicant's facility which require research and develop-ment; and (4)
Based on Che foregoing, Applicant avers Chat there is reasonable assurance Chat'afety questions, if any, will be satisfactorily resolved on or before the latest date stated in the application for completion of construc-tion of the proposed facility (December 1, 1967);
and Chat', taking into consideration Che site criteria contained in Fart 100, Che proposed

facility can be constructed and operated at Che proposed location without undue rislc Co Che health and safety of Che public.
(b)
Applicant and its principal contractoxs are technically cualified Co design and construct the proposed facility; (c)
Applicant is financially qualified Co design and construct Che proposed facility; and (d)
That Che issuance of a. permit for Che construction of Che facility will not be inimical Co Che common defense and security or to Che health and safetv of the public.
Applicant pxoposes Co appear at said hearing on December lg, 1964 and pxesent evidence on each oi Che four issues specified in Che said Notice oi Hearing.
