SCHEDULING OF INITIAL OPERATOR LICENSE EXAMINATIONS - CLINTON POWER STATION, UNIT 1

Dear Mr. Hanson:

We have received your corporate letter RS-16-156, dated July 18, 2016, in response to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Regulatory Issue Summary 2016-09, Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations. In the letter, you requested no initial operator licensing examinations be scheduled through 2021 at the Clinton Power Station. Previously in station letter U-604281, dated May 23, 2016, you had requested initial license examination dates for January 2017, July 2018, and March 2019 at the Clinton Power Station.

In response to your most recent letter, we have not scheduled these examination dates and have canceled the previously requested initial license examination dates of October 2018 and October 2020.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
