Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 Technical Requirements Manual (TRM) Update Summary Enclosure to AEP-NRC-2016-42 Revision Effective Date Description of Change 57 12/08/2014 TRM Section 8.4.3 was reinstated after it was identified during the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Mod/50.59 inspection that the 50.59 performed for this change was inadequate.

58 12/08/2014 During reinstatement of TRM Section 8.4.3, it was recognized that the requirements of the original TS had been inaccurately translated into the TRM. This TRM change revised Section 8.4.3 to accurately reflect the intent of the original TSs.

59 12/08/2014 Deleted TRM Section 8.4.3 after an appropriate 50.59 was performed.

60 12/08/2014 Revise TRM Page B 8.7.5-1 to support the 69kV system upgrade being performed by AEP Transmission.

61 03/06/2015 Revised to include new TRMs (8.2.1 Heat Flux Hot Channel Factor (FQ(Z))) to support the two additional checks on the need for a penalty factor to be applied to the transient FQ(Z). This change corrects a potential non-conservatism.

62 07/05/2015 Revised TRM 8.7.5 Fire Suppression Water System, TRS 8.7.5.13 Fire Pump performance surveillance requirement and TRM 8.7.5 Bases B 8.7.5 Fire Water Suppression Water System to comply with Report R2527-001-001, Revision 0, Fire Protection Water Main Loop and Fire Pump Set Point Adequacy Determination.

63 07/31/2015 Added the NOTE currently clarifying TS Surveillance Requirement 3.4.12.8 to TRS 8.4.6.1.

64 02/03/2016 Revised TRM B 8.7.8 Low Pressure CO2, TRM B 8.7.9 Halon Systems, TRM 8.7.10 and B 8.7.10 Fire Rated Assemblies per Fire Protection Impact Review FPPR 2015-0009 Revision 0 to resolve concerns with Operability of TRM 8.7.8 and 8.7.9 gaseous fire suppression systems that are impacted by INOPERABLE TRM 8.7.10 Fire Rated Assemblies.

65 03/16/2016 The change consisted of revisions to TRM 8.11, FLEX Portable Equipment and Plant Connection Points TRM 8.11.1 and TRM 8.11.2, and their Bases, and new TRM 8.11.3 and its Bases.

These changes accomplish three objectives: Assure the availability of small FLEX portable equipment (hoses, cables, etc.)

is included in the scope of the TRM requirements; resolve Operations concerns regarding the exclusion of non-TS, non-TRM plant components needed for the credited FLEX strategies; and reflect the portable equipment protection and availability requirements in the latest NRC endorsed revision of NEI 12-06, including differentiation between portable equipment availability and portable equipment protection.

66 03/30/2016 Change consisted of updating TRM, Appendix A, Table 8.3.1-2, Pages A-4 and A-5, to reflect changes associated with the accident analysis supporting the return to Normal Operating Pressure and Temperature.
