OF MEETI'NG HELD ON JANUARY 30, 1997 WITH PG&E TO DISCUSS THE PENETRATION SEAL

PROGRAM, THE STATUS OF EMERGENCY LIGHTING, AND THE PROPOSED REMOVAL OF THE HALON SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS The NRC staff met with representatives of PG&E on January 30,
1997, in Rockvillh; Maryland to discuss (1) the status of the penetration seal
program, (2) the status of emergency lighting, and (3) the proposed removal of the Halon suppression systems.

Attachment 1 contains the list of attendees at this meeting.

Attachment 2 contains the handouts used by the licensee for their presentations.

The first topic discussed was the penetration seal program.

The licensee will be revising LER 94-001, which will include a discussion on Ceilcote Epoxy Grout.

The next topic discussed

'was the status of emergency li.ghting.

The licensee has installed battery operated lighting in all areas requiring operator actions and access/egress pathways.

The last topic was a discussion on a proposal to remove the halon suppression system.
