NOTICE OF DEVIATION Pacific Gas and Electric Company Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant Dockets:
50-275 50-323 Licenses:
DPR-80 DPR-82 During an NRC inspection conducted on Hay 22-25,
- 1995, one deviation from your Final Safety Analysis Report was identified.
In accordance with the "General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Action," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, the deviation is listed below Final Safety Analysis Report Section
- 13. 1.2.3, "Shift Crew Composition,"
and Figure
- 13. 1-3, describe the Senior Control Operator position as requiring an NRC senior operator license.
Contrary to the above, on Hay 23 and 24,
- 1995, the Unit 2 Senior Control Operator position was being filled by an individual holding an NRC operator license instead of the described senior operator license (275;323/9504-01).
Please provide to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN:
Document Control
- Desk, Washington, D.C. 20555, with a copy to the Regional Administrator, Region IV, 611 Ryan Plaza Drive, Suite 400, Arlington, Texas
- 76011, and a copy to the NRC Resident Inspector at the facility that is the subject of this Notice, in writing within 90 days of the date of this Notice, (1) the reason for the deviation, or if contested, the basis for disputing the deviation, (2) the corrective steps that have been taken and the results
- achieved, (3) the corrective steps that will be taken to avoid further deviations, and (4) the date when your corrective action will be completed.
Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending the response time.
