REQUEST FOR ADDITIONALINFORMATION-LAR 98 REVISION OF RCS PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE LIMITS - DIABLOCANYON POWER PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. MA3573 AND MA3574)
Dear Mr. Rueger:
In a letter dated September 3, 1998, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PGE), the licensee for Diablo Canyon Units 1 and 2, submitted its license amendment request (LAR) 98-06, "Revision of Technical Specification 3.4.9.1, Figures 3.4-2 and 3.4 RCS Pressure/Temperature Limits and Request for Exemption from 10 CFR 50.60." The NRC staff has reviewed your LARand has identified the need to request additional information in order to determine the acceptability of your request.
The enclosure describes the specific information requested by the staff.
This request was discussed with Mr. Pat Nugent of your staff on November 13, 1998. A mutually agreeable target date of December 21, 1998, for your response was established.
