This refers to the routine announced
inspection
conducted
by Messrs.
D. Acker
and
F.
Gee of this office on January
19 through January
29,
1993.
This
inspection
examined certain of your activities authorized
by
NRC license
numbers
and DPR-82.
The results of this inspection
were provided to
your staff on January
28,
1993.
Areas
examined during this inspection
are described
in the enclosed, inspection
report.
Within these
areas,
the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with
personnel,
and observations
by the inspectors.
No violations or deviations of NRC requirements
were identified within the
scope of this inspection.
The enclosed
inspection report details
noted the
comprehensive
testing
and inspections
you performed for your sixth Emergency
Diesel
Generator.
We wish to bring to your attention that
some of those test
and inspection results
(e.g.
worn starting motor gear teeth)
could have
been
identified earlier during your commercial
grade dedication inspections.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter
and the enclosure
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
