and 50-323/92-20,

dated

August 13,

1992,

informing us of the steps

you have taken to correct the items

which we brought to your attention.

Your corrective actions will be verified

during

a future inspection.

Regarding Violation A, we recognized that adequate

compensatory

measures

for a

fire in the centrifugal charging

pump

(CCP)

room had been in effect.

Our

concern

was that these

measures

had

been in place for almost two years,

and

procedural

guidance

on limited operation of the positive displacement

charging

pump had not been provided during that time for the operators'se

in the

event of a fire in the

CCP room.
