7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT UNIT NOS.
1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS.
50-275 AND 50-323 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted a
request by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (the licensee) to withdraw its September 6,
1989, application for amendments to Facility Operating License No.
DPR-80 and Facility Operating License No.
DPR-82 issued to the licensee for operation of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.
1 and 2, located in San Luis Obispo County, California.
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the amendments was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on October 4, 1989 (54 FR 40931).
The purpose of the licensee's amendments request was to revise the Technical Specifications (TS) to change safety valve setpoint tolerances.
Subsequently, the licensee informed the staff that review of the amendments should be indefinitely deferred.
Since no request to resume the review has been received, the amendment application is considered to be withdrawn by the licensee.
For further details with respect to this action, see (1) the application for amendments dated September 6,
- 1989, (2) the licensee's request for deferral of review dated November 2,
- 1990, and (3) the staff's letter dated December 21, 1990.
