Dear Mr. Chairman:
I am writing concerning Acting Chairman Remick's letter to you of August 10, 1990, which addressed seismic safety issues at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
These issues were brought to your attention by Representatives Barbara Boxer and Leon E. Panetta.
ln his letter, the Acting Chairman noted that the NRC expected to complete its review of the Diablo Canyon seismic re-evaluation program last fall and would then document its findings in a Safety Evaluation Report (SER).
I want to advise you that the SER should be issued this spring.
I will send a copy to you and to Representatives Boxer and Panetta when it is issued.
