of our findings held with members of your
staff on December
12,
1990.
Areas examined during this irispection are described
in the enclosed
inspection
report.
Within these
areas,
the inspection consisted 'of selective
examinations
of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with
personnel,
and observations
by the inspectors.
No violations of NRC requirements
were. identified as
a result of this
inspection.
Our investigation of the Chemical
and Volume Control
System
letdown piping
weld cracks
concluded that your actions
were not timely in the pursuit of the
root cause,,as
evident by the six months in which the
No.
2 cracked weld had
not been analyzed.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
