Teledyne Engineering Ser vices, Second Phase 1 Interim Techn)cal Report on Evaluation of the guality Assurance Program and Imple-mentation Reviews, transmitted by letter dated June 24, 1982.

This submittal provides information on the status of the Independent Design Verification Program (IDVP) activities for Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.

The infor-mation is re] evant to the safety issue of the design adequacy of Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.

This is the subject of Commission Order CLI-81-30 which is the basis for the IDVP.

=The..staff is evaluating the information as part of its ongoing review of the IDVP efforts and will report on the results prior to reinstatement of the license.

The material does not pertain to those matters that weve resolved by ALAB 644.
