Docket Nos.

Dear Mr. Ketchen:
Your letter of August 8, 1980, conveyed to the Board and the other parties the staff's responses to the questions posed by ALAB-598.
The Board has noted that the direct written testimony of Mr. Richard M. McMullen, a staff geologist, contains a reference to "the LNG Report (USGS, 1980)," which is characterized by Mr. McMullen as another piece of evidence favoring the occurrence of an earthquake on structures other than the Hosgri. fault.
The Board wishes to see that Report in full before ruling on intervenors'eauest to call USGS personnel as Board witnesses.
Please provide copies of that Report to the Board and the other parties.
Because time is
- short, the Board asks for immediate attention to this reauest.
Very truly yours, C.
