AUDIT REPORT FOR THE KOREA HYDRO AND NUCLEAR POWER CO. LTD ADVANCED POWER REACTOR 1400 ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM During the period of May 25 - 26, 2016, a team from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Office of New Reactors (NRO) performed an audit of the Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. (KHNP), Advanced Power Reactor 1400 (APR1400) electric power system at the KHNP facility at 11333 Woodglen Drive in Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the audit was to review technical documents that would allow the staff to make a determination regarding the adequacy of onsite alternating current power systems in the APR1400 design to operate as designed in various plant operating modes and conditions, across the electric power distribution system.
The audit report, List of Attendees and Documents Available to the NRC Staff are included as an enclosure however, the document is marked as proprietary and therefore, is not available to the public. A non-proprietary version of the audit report will be forwarded separately.
