MODIFICATIONS TO NRC'S HEALTH PHYSICS NETWORK This is to inform you that, within the next 30 days, representatives of the phone company will be modifying the NRC's Health Physics Network (HPN) phone system to increase its reliability. As you are aware, this phone line is one element of emergency communications available for use after an accident.
We expect the modifications to take less than one day.
We would appreciate your cooperation in providing the phone company representative access to HPN phones.
Particularly, we would appreciate it greatly if you could provide necessary processing and escorts as you would provide for representatives working on your own phone system. If you are unable to provide such an escort, please notify Bill Stansberry (404-221-5248) or Bill Cline (404-221-2665) so that other access arrangements can be made. If you have any questions regarding these actions, please contact Mr. Stansberry or Mr. Cline directly.
