NRC Notification of State of Florida Regarding St. Lucie License Amendment - Adoption of TSTF-422 Good Afternoon Ms. Becker, As a follow-up to my phone call this afternoon, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is about to issue license amendments for the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of these amendments.

Please reply if the State of Florida has comments on the following licensing action submitted to the NRC by Florida Power

& Light Company, et al. (the licensee): License Amendment Request for Adoption of Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-422, Revision 2, "Change in Technical Specifications End States, (CE NPSD-1 186)," Using the Consolidated Line Item Improvement Process dated August 31 15, 2015 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML15301A765), as supplemented by a letters dated April 20, 2016 1

(ADAMS ML16118A272), and July 15, 2016 (ADAMS ML16201A236). The license amendment would modify the Unit 1 and Unit 2 technical specifications to risk-inform requirements regarding selected Required Action End States.

The associated proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on November 24, 2015, (80 FR 73237).
