SUMMARY
Scope:
This inspection report documents the results of an Enforcement Conference
held at the Region II Office on June 1, 1987, to review the circumstances of a
licensee reported event relating to the inadequate destruction of safeguards
material that resulted in a situation where the Catawba, McGuire,
and Oconee
Nuclear Station's security programs were subject to compromise.
Results:
The following violation of regulatory requirements was identified:

Failure to protect Safeguards Information as a result of
inadequate destruction.
