Dear Mr. Tucker:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has reviewed the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) implementation plan which you submitted in a letter dated October 24, 1991. Based upon this review, the NRC has found that your implementation plan provides the basis for an acceptable implementation, of ERDS at your facilities.
Be advised that the testing phase of ERDS implementation involves all licensees testing with the NRC contractor, Halliburton NUS Environmental Corporation. Since the contractor does not have unlimited resources for testing multiple ERDS links simultaneously, close coordination with the Halliburton NUS personnel in scheduling your ERDS testing will be a key element in the successful completion of ERDS implementation. The project manager at Halliburton NUS is Mr. Tony LaRosa, and he may be reached at (208) 524-9227.
