By letter dated August 31, 2015 (NL-15-1392), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) requested license amendments (LARs) for approval of a fleet standard emergency plan for Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, and Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML15246A045). By letter dated February 4, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued its second Requests for Additional Information (RAis) (ADAMS Accession Number ML16029A035).

By letter dated April a, 2016 (ADAMS Accession Number ML16105A194), SNC responded to the second set of RAis. In this response, SNC provided an incorrect Table 2.2.A of the Vogtle 3&4 Annex in response to RAI-VEGP3&4-1. SNC has performed a review of the Vogtle 3&4 On-Shift Staffing Analysis and provided a corrected submittal of the assessment of emergency response staffing in accordance with VEGP 3&4 License Condition 2.D.(12)(d) per SNC letter ND 0574 on May 13, 2016. (ADAMS Accession Numbers [ML16134A463, ML16134A464]). In order to conform the response to the second set of RAis with the revised Vogtle 3&4 On-Shift Staffing Analysis, SNC has enclosed a revised Table 2.2.A. An additional conforming change to the Vogtle 3&4 Annex will be submitted with SNC's response to the 3rd set of RAis due by June 13, 2016.

SNC is notifying the states of Georgia and Alabama of this response to the NRC RAJ by transmitting a copy of this letter and enclosures to the designated state official.
