We are reviewing your application dated November 11, 1993, regarding changes to the Administrative Controls section of the Technical Specifications to reflect recent changes in the Duke Power Company (DPC) organizational structure and position titles. We have recently been informed that the title "Maintenance Superintendents" is generic to the three DPC stations and does not reflect the specific titles of the subject positions at the three stations. Rather, the specific titles for the two positions that DPC proposes to be described by the generic title are variations of the I&E Superintendent and the Mechanical Superintendent. It is our position that the TS should reflect the specific titles in the DPC organization consistent with the intent of the guidance in Generic Letter 88-06. Accordingly, the application of November 11, 1993, as supplemented, should be further supplemented to reflect the specific position titles for each of the three stations.
