TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REQUEST -
RESPONSES TO IE BULLETIN 79-05C FOR B&W OPERATING PLANTS By memorandum dated September 5, 1979 (same subject), I requested the Analysis and Systems Groups of the B&OTF to provide technical assistance in the review of licensees' responses to IE Bulletin 79-05C. In addition, that memorandum forwarded responses from Duke, AP&L, SMUD, and TECO. I stated that the responses from Florida Power Corporation would be provided as soon as we received our copy.
Attached is FPC's response to Bulletin 79-05C (letter from W. P. Stewart (FPC) to J. P. O'Reilly (Director, Reg. II) dated August 24, 1979).
Additional copies of all the B&W operating plant licensees' responses are being made and will be provided through normal distribution channels.
As discussed at the B&OTF meeting yesterday, the Bulletin does not specifically require licensees to submit the "Guidelines for Operator Action" or the revised "Emergency Procedures" (Items 3 & 4) for review. However, I will insure that copies of these documents are submitted by all B&W licensees.
