SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF INTERNAL STAFF MEETING CONCERNING FORTHCOMING DUKE POWER COMPANY RESPONSE TO OCONEE DRAFT ELECTRICAL REPORTS On October 8, 1996, personnel from EELB, Project Directorate 11-2, AEOD, EDO, and CRGR met to discuss future staff actions related to the finalization and issuance of the Oconee Nuclear Station Electrical Reports. DPC is expected to submit their written comments on October 31, 1996. Personnel in attendance are listed on the Attachment.
As a result of the meeting, the following actions were agreed upon:
- 1.
AEOD will review the DPC submittal and correct factual errors in the AEOD Draft Report. Few other changes are expected before the revised report is forwarded to CRGR. Any changes to the report that are necessary following this action will be made in a supplement to the report. AEOD will also evaluate the adequacy of DPC's response to determine that the issues raised in the AEOD Draft Report have been properly resolved.
- 2.
EELB will use the DPC submittal to determine how best to incorporate any changes that are needed to finalize the NRR report (either by revision or supplement to the draft report). It is expected that the DPC comments will be incorporated into the Draft Report to show closure of open items wherever possible. EELB will coordinate with SPSB in finalizing PRA-related items.
- 3.
EELB and AEOD will work together to attempt to address any differences of opinion regarding integrated tests and other issues.
- 4.
The schedule for completion of the AEOD and NRR reports and their submittal to CRGR will be determined shortly after the DPC submittal is received. This information will be forwarded to the Oconee PM.
