NRC), "Notice of Disbursement from Decommissioning Trusts," dated April 4, 2016 In the Reference, The Northern Trust Company (Northern Trust) notified the NRC of its intent to make disbursements from the decommissioning trusts for the nuclear power plants listed below.

Braidwood Unit 1 Braidwood Unit 2 Byron Unit 1 Byron Unit 2 Dresden Unit 1 Dresden Unit 2 Dresden Unit 3 LaSalle Unit 1 LaSalle Unit 2 Quad Cities Unit 1 Quad Cities Unit 2 Limerick Unit 1 Limerick Unit 2 Peach Bottom Unit 2 Peach Bottom Unit 3 Salem Unit 1 Salem Unit 2 Three Mile Island Unit 1 Clinton Oyster Creek In accordance with the various facility operating licenses, the decommissioning trust agreement provides that no disbursement shall be made by the Trustee unless the Trustee has first given the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation 30 days prior written notice of such disbursement.

On May 3, 2016, the NRC notified Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) that additional information would be needed in order to render a decision with respect to the planned disbursements. In response, EGC notified Northern Trust that additional time would be needed to support the NRC's review. In addition, EGC informed Northern Trust that no disbursements should be made until an updated Notice of Disbursement letter has been submitted to the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, and no earlier than 30 working days from the date of the Reference letter (i.e., no earlier than May 17, 2016).
