OF THE APRIL 14, 2016 PUBLIC OUTREACH/OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2015 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER On April 14, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CDT), a public outreach/open house was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2015 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Duane Arnold Energy Center and with general information on the NRC. A list of the Open House attendees is attached. One member of the public attended the meeting.
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Duane Arnold Energy Centers performance during the meeting. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2016, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML16060A275). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter, the 2015-2016 NRC Information Digest (NUREG-1350, Volume 27), and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NextEra officials and NRC officials.
