Letter, S. Ruffin (USN RC) to T J Tate (AREVA Inc.); Authorization for Shipment of the Model No. 51032-2 Package from Crystal River 3 to Oconee Nuclear Power Plant; TAC No. L25086; March 2, 2016.

The referenced NRC correspondence conveys the NRC's authorization to ship AREVA MkB-HTP-1 15x15 PWR fuel assemblies of 4.55 and 4.95 wt.% U-235 enrichments from the Crystal River 3 to the Oconee Nuclear Power Plant under special conditions prescribed therein. One of those conditions requires that AREVA provide the NRC with at least ninety (90) days pre-notification prior to the initiation of either of the two four-month windows over which the fuel shipments will be made. The purpose of this correspondence is to inform the NRC that the first of the two four-month shipping windows will commence ninety (90) days from the date of this letter, i.e. July 5, 2016. All shipments will be made in accordance with the conditions set forth in the NRC's referenced letter of authorization. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at 509-375-8550.
