[External_Sender] FirstEnergy/Davis Besse Event Number 51696 Good morning, It has been a long time since I have written a certified mail letter or even an e-mail about this plant but I see a very clear problem with conservative operator action here, or more specifically, the lack of conservative action.

Why would you be working on one nuclear instrumentation channel when another is already tripped? That is a gamble that should not be taken. Do you think this lesson has been learned by the high level FirstEnergy management who were on site Friday afternoon when this happened?

Also note the "inoperable but operable" classification of even more nuclear instrumentation.

Is it getting to be time for a safety culture survey here?
