[External_Sender] NRC Exam Dates Good afternoon Mr. Jackson, This is Roy Vogel, the Unit 2 ILT Lead at Nine Mile Point. I had a discussion with Mr. Silk this afternoon about NRC exam dates.
Based on SRO manning at Unit 2, it was decided to add a Supplemental License Class not originally listed on our last reported NRC Form 536 (Operator Licensing Examination Data).
This class consists of 6 SROs only and is currently in progress. They completed GFES with the culmination of the NRC GFE on December 7th. They are now on shift accumulating on-site time prior to beginning systems in May of this year after the outage.
Based on these dates, Mr. Silk and I came up with a possible exam date of 10/23/2017 for this class. The prep week for this exam would be 9/25/2017.
Mr. Silk and I also discussed the NRC exam date of our regularly scheduled license class to start in June of this year. The exam date for this class was originally scheduled for 1/15/2018. We discussed changing this to 2/12/2018 to allow for more practice time before the exam and to align our Cert exam date after the new year holidays. The prep week for this exam would then be the week of 1/15/2018.
Mr. Silk asked that I write you this email to inform you of the exam date changes and barring any issues, to approve the dates for us.
