(collectively, Entergy),

submitted Relief Request EN-ISI-15-1, which requested U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval to maintain inservice inspection (ISI) related activities to the 2001 Edition/2003 Addenda of the ASME Code,Section XI, for the following Entergy plants: Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1; Grand Gulf Nuclear Station; James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant; and Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station. The duration of the proposed alternative would be from the start of each plants new 10-year ISI interval until November 30, 2017, at which time Entergy plans to update its ASME Code of Record for ISI-related activities to the latest Edition/Addenda of the ASME Code,Section XI, as approved by the NRC in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Paragraph 50.55a(a)(1)(ii).

The purpose of this letter is to provide the results of the NRC staffs acceptance review of this relief request.

The acceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant.

The NRC staff has reviewed your application and concluded that it provides technical information in sufficient detail to enable the staff to proceed with its detailed technical review and make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of the proposed relief request in terms of regulatory requirements.

If additional information is needed for the staff to complete its technical review, you will be advised by separate correspondence.
