Pre-Submittal Meeting With NRC Oyster Creek Decommissioning Licensing Action Submittal Strategy September 21, 2015

Pre-Submittal Meeting Oyster Creek is scheduled to permanently shut down by the end of 2019.

Overall goal is to provide for a safe and smooth transition for Oyster Creek from an operating site to a permanently shutdown site.

In support of this goal, Exelon has developed a proposed list of Decommissioning Licensing Actions and is providing it for NRC advance notice.

This list has been developed using the following inputs:

Review of the regulations and guidance documents Review of recent Licensing correspondence associated with other nuclear plants undergoing the decommissioning transition process 2

Pre-Submittal Meeting Schedule to be further refined based on benchmarking and lessons learned from industry peers.

Exelon is interested in discussing with the NRC the following areas in regards to the proposed submittal list:

NRC review

• Expected duration

• Insights on the submittal list that support optimum NRC review

• Implementation schedule Other insights and feedback the NRC can provide based on lessons learned from recent industry submittals.
