OCONEE EMERGENCY POWER PROJECT - INSPECTION ACTIVITIES On September 29, 1994, a management meeting was conducted in the NRC Region II office to discuss your Oconee Emergency Power Project. During this meeting you indicated that this project would incorporate outstanding NRC commitment items and assure reliable emergency power to the Oconee Nuclear Station.
As this endeavor is of considerable interest to the NRC, the details of this project were reviewed to determine the appropriate NRC inspection activities necessary for this project.
To facilitate your planning, the inspection activities associated with this project are provided as follows:
June 5-16, 1995:
Inspection of electrical calculations and EDSFI open items (2 inspectors).
June 12-16, 1995:
Inspection of Keowee Mechanical Design Basis Document, certain mechanical calculations, and certain modification packages (1 inspector).
July 10-14, 1995:
Verify testing program for Keowee is adequate, finish electrical calculation review, and finish EDSFI item closeout (2 inspectors).
January 8-12, 1996: Keowee maintenance inspection (2 inspectors).
