DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT NO. 1 - REVIEW OF SECURITY PLAN CHANGES (TAC NO. MF5801)
Dear Mr. Boles:
By letter dated September 29, 2014, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML14275A039), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FE NOC, the licensee) submitted Revisions 17 and 18 of the "Physical Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan" (security plan) for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS), Unit No. 1, in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulation, Section 50.54(p){2). The letter states that these changes were reviewed prior to implementation and determined not to decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the physical security plan.
By letter dated July 8, 2015, (ADAMS Accession No. ML15218A065), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff issued a request for additional information (RAI) regarding the changes to the DBNPS security plan. The licensee responded to the RAI by letter dated August 17, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15232A519).
The NRC staff has completed its review of the changes to DBNPS security plan and RAI response and did not identify any issues. The implementation of the security plan revisions may be subject to future inspection.
