DUKE TOPICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM Your letter dated August 24,
- 1987, transmitted Amendment 11 of Duke Power Company Topical Quality Assurance Report (Duke 1-A), in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(a).
This report provides the current quality assurance program description for Oconee, McGuire, and Catawba (Docket Nos.
50-269,
- 270, 287, 50-369,
- 370, and 50-413, 414).
Review of this report included teleconferences between the NRC and Duke Power Company personnel on October 22 and 29, 1987. During the October 29 teleconference it was understood that the following sentence would be added to Section 17.2.18 of the Topical Quality Assurance Report:
"Audit data are analyzed and resulting reports, indicating any quality problems and the effectiveness of QA programs, are reported to management for review and assessment."
The addition of this statement and our review of the material submitted indicates that your quality assurance program continues to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, and is therefore acceptable.
