RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION INSPECTION REPORT
Dear Mr. Limpias,
On June 22, 2015, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a component design
basis inspection report (ML15173A450) which included a cited violation for Nebraska Public
Power Districts failure to correctly translate regulatory and design basis requirements
associated with tornado and high wind-generated missiles into design information necessary to
protect the emergency diesel generator fuel oil storage tank vent line components. The
June 22, 2015, letter also included the associated Notice of Violation which required you to
respond in writing within 30 days. You responded by letter dated July 22, 2015,
(ML15215A369).
The NRC has reviewed the information you provided in your response to the Notice of Violation.
The NRC will inform you via future correspondence if further inspection is warranted.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be
made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from
the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the
NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
