MCGUIRE, CATAWBA, AND OCONEE NUCLEAR STATIONS - TRAINING FREQUENCY FOR TRANSPORTATION PERSONNEL This is to acknowledge your letter to us of March 31, 1993, regarding the training frequency foropersonnel involved in the transportation of hazardous materials. This issue falls within the scope of our review of your quality assurance program associated with the Duke Power Company 10 CFR Part 71 activities (Docket Number 71-0266). Your plans in this regard have been reviewed by the NRC's Transportation Branch, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards. In this instance, the applicable regulatory criteria have been established by the Department Of Transportation. Accordingly, we have no objection to your plans to change the frequency of training for personnel involved in the transportation of hazardous materials from once every year to once every two years.
