ASSIGNMENT OF PROJECT NUMBER 683 FOR THE STAFF'S REVIEW OF THE BABCOCK AND WILCOX OWNERS GROUP GENERIC LICENSE RENEWAL PROGRAM The staff has assigned Project Number 683 for the staff's review of the Babcock and Wilcox Owners Group (BWOG) Generic License Renewal Program. This project number should facilitate the docketing of information relevant to the staff's review of the BWOG Generic License Renewal Program and uniquely identify this information for a utility which may wish to reference the information in a future license renewal application. In addition, this project number will provide the public with a single information retrieval point for information concerning the conduct of the staff's review of the BWOG Generic License Renewal Program.

This project number should be prominently annotated on the first page of all future BWOG correspondence which is submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and concerns the BWOG Generic License Renewal Program.

Information concerning the BWOG Generic License Renewal Program will no longer be docketed under your member utility Docket Numbers 50-269, 50-270, 50-287, 50-289, 50-302, 50-313, and 50-346. Consequently, information concerning the conduct of the staff's review of the BWOG Generic License Renewal Program will not be transmitted to the service lists for those utilities. A separate service list for this project will be developed. However, all appropriate information regarding this review will continue to be placed in the NRC Public Document Room and in the local public document rooms associated with your member utilities.
