SUMMARY
OF THE JULY 30, 2015, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS APPLICATION OF A PEENING ROCESS PLANNED FOR THE BYRON AND BRAIDWOOD STATIONS TO MITIGATE PRIMARY WATER STRESS CORROSION CRACKING On July 30, 2015, a public meeting was held at the Cantera Complex at 4300 Winfield Road, Warrenville, IL, between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Exelon management and staff. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss application of a peening process that Exelon intends to apply to the reactor vessel heads at the Byron and Braidwood Stations. The NRC letter and meeting notice can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML15168A242 and ML15168A242 respectively.
A list of attendees is attached.
Exelon staff provided a presentation and discussion on the scheduled application of a cavitation peening process to be applied to the reactor vessel heads at the Byron and Braidwood Stations.

Members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of Exelon officials and NRC officials during this meeting.
