PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS APPLICATION OF A PROCESS PLANNED FOR THE BYRON AND BRAIDWOOD STATIONS TO MITIGATE PRIMARY WATER STRESS CORROSION CRACKING
Dear Mr. Hanson:
This letter confirms the agreement between members of our staffs to meet and discuss application of a peening process to be applied to the reactor vessel heads at your Byron and Braidwood Stations to mitigate primary water stress corrosion cracking. This will be a Category 1 Public Meeting scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, July 30, 2015, and conducted at the Cantera Complex in Room 110 of the building located at 4320 Winfield Road, Warrenville, IL 60555.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding, of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
