- Carolyn, The NRC staff is preparing for the NWMI environmental site audit that will be conducted September 16-17, 2015. In support of the upcoming NWMI environmental site audit, the staff has developed an environmental audit needs list.
The enclosed draft environmental audit needs list is an advanced copy being provided to NWMI in preparation for the environmental audit and for review of proprietary information pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390 Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding. The staff concludes that the enclosed draft environmental audit needs list does not contain any information for which exemption from public disclosure has been sought or approved. However, the NRC will withhold this environmental audit needs list from public disclosure for ten working days from the date of this e-mail to allow you the opportunity to verify the staffs conclusion that the environmental audit needs list contains no such exempt information. If within that ten day period, you do not request that portions of the environmental audit needs list be withheld from public disclosure, this environmental audit needs list will be made available for public inspection through the NRC Public Document Room and the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
Once you have a chance to review the environmental audit needs list, we should schedule a phone call to discuss the audit agenda details and additional logistics. Please note that there could be changes to the environmental site audit needs as it continues through the concurrence process.
