Carolyn, Just wanted to let you know that I noticed a discrepancy between NWMI PSAR Table 4-75 and the NWMI response to RAI AIR-2B (ADAMS No. ML15328A010). Table 4-75 of the PSAR identifies the chemicals and quantity as proprietary, however, NWMIs response to RAI AIR-2B did not mark this information as proprietary.

Because it is not clear if this information is or isnt proprietary, draft RAI AIR2-2a will be revised to not reference the chemical or quantity. The staff did not identify additional sensitive or proprietary information in the draft RAIs during its review. Since I have not received a response from NWMI regarding proprietary information in the draft RAIs, I will assume NWMI did not identify proprietary information in the RAIs and you will receive a formal letter and the RAIs.

NWMI environmental RAIs-second round

Carolyn, Please find attached a copy of the second set of draft environmental request for additional information (RAIs).

The purpose of sending you an advanced copy of the Draft RAIs, prior to formally issuing the RAIs and letter, is for your review to ensure they are clear and understandable. Once you have a chance to review the RAIs, if needed, we can discuss any clarification questions you may have regarding the RAIs as well as an RAI response due date (in accordance with NRC regulations you will have 30 days, from formal issuance of the RAI letter, to respond to the RAIs).

The NRC staff asks that NWMI also review the draft RAIs to ensure that proprietary information has not inadvertently been included. Should any proprietary information be identified, please contact me by Thursday, January 14th. If I do not hear from you by Thursday, January 14th, I will assume no proprietary information has been inadvertently included in the RAIs.

Please note that this is a draft and there could be changes to the environmental RAIs as it continues through the NRC concurrence process.
