By letter dated June 4, 2015 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML15155B593), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted a license amendment request for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP), Unit 1, to revise the completion time for one inoperable residual heat removal (RHR) train from 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> to 7 days to allow for replacement of an RHR pump motor. By letter dated July 15, 2015, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued a request for additional information (RAI); SNC responded to that request by letter dated July 22, 2015. In that letter, SNC committed to supplementing the RAI Question #1 response with revised values for the incremental conditional core damage probability (ICCDP) and the incremental conditional large early release probability (ICLERP), calculated with NRC-accepted methods.

The Enclosure provides the SNC supplemental response.

Enclosure to NL-15-1476 SNC Supplemental Response to NRC RAI The Vogtle Fire PRA has been refined to incorporate NRC-accepted methods.

Accordingly, the incremental conditional core damage probability (ICCDP) and the incremental conditional large early release probability (ICLERP) have been recalculated using those accepted methods.

The new values are tabulated below:
