In addition to the discussion we had with your staff yesterday regarding the response to PRA RAI 44.01.b, we have a request to discuss a technical issue:
The response to PRA RAI 44.01.b included a description of risk insights on Table W-2. As a result of reviewing these sequences, clarification is requested on how the new injection system is being credited in the Fire PRA.
Review of a LOCA sequence (F10-A2-L-7A-T1-MCCD/16B-EC-8-1) shows that alignment of the new injection system is being credited following a stuck open PORV event. Clarification is requested on how the new injection system is being credited for this type of event.
Please let me know if you would like to conduct the discussion in a conference call or a meeting. Thank you for your help.
