R.E. GINNA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT- SECOND ROUND OF REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING REQUEST TO ADOPT NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION STANDARD NFPA-805, "PERFORMANCE-BASED STANDARD FOR FIRE PROTECTION FOR LIGHT WATER REACTOR ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANTS," (TAC NO.

Enclosed is the response to the Request for Additional Information (RAI) to the License Amendment Request (LAR) for Ginna to Adopt NFPA 805 (Reference A). This response is for RAI 44.01.b received in the letter dated September 19, 2014 (Reference B).

Ginna has provided a response to PRA RAI 44.01.b on September 24, 2014, and in that response stated an approach, agreed upon with the NRC staff, to provide a response to PRA RAI 44.01 .b after the NRC had notified Ginna that the responses to 44.01 .a are acceptable and that there are no other PRA RAIs forthcoming. Ginna responded to further PRA RAIs on December 4, 2014 and March 18, 2015. On April 1, 2015, the NRC staff provided notification that the responses to the RAIs were acceptable and to prepare the aggregate analysis for submission. Attachments 2 and 3 contain the response to this RAI.

There are no new regulatory commitments identified in this letter; however, Attachment 1 of this letter replaces Enclosure 1 of Reference A; and Attachment 4 of this letter replaces This letter forwards Security-related information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390. The balance of this letter may be considered non-Security Related upon the removal of Attachment 2.

Due to the indeterminate schedule for NRC approval of the Topical Report on the RCP seal design that Ginna intends to use for one of the committed modifications, Ginna is proposing to implement modifications identified in the Ginna Transition Report of Reference A, Attachment S, Table S-2, "Plant Modifications Committed," no later than the Second Refueling Outage more than 12 months after NRC approval of the LAR.
