ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHANGES TO THE CAROLINA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY PERFORMANCE BASED NUCLEAR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM FOR BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, AND H. B.
ROBINSON STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT Gentlemen:
We have completed our review of the Performnce Based Nuclear Assessment Program for the Brunswick Steam Electric, Units 1 and 2; Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1; and the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2. The review was on the program submitted July 22, 1994, and the additional information submitted March 6, 1995. We find that your program continues to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and is therefore acceptable. The change includes relocation of Technical Specification audit requirements to FSAR Chapter 17.
The authorization to remove requirements from the Technical Specification are contained in separate correspondence related to your requests. Therefore, implementation of these changes must await approval of the Technical Specifications amendments.
