PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT-REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR AN EQUIVALENT MARGIN ANALYSIS COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH 10 CFR 50, APPENDIX G (TAC NO. MF5163)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated November 12, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML14316A370), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. submitted a license amendment request regarding an equivalent margins analysis completed in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50, Appendix G,Section IV.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff is reviewing the submittal and has determined that additional information is needed to complete its review. The specific questions are found in the enclosed request for additional information (RAI). Based on our discussions we understand that a response to the RAI will be provided within 30 days of the date of this letter.

PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT DOCKET NO 50-255 LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF 10 CFR 50 APPENDIX G EQUIVALENT MARGINS ANL YSIS By letter dated November 12, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML14316A370), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) submitted a license amendment request regarding an equivalent margins analysis completed in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (1 0 CFR) Part 50, Appendix G,Section IV. This request for additional information (RAI) identified information needed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff in connection with its review of the submittal.
RAI #1 10 CFR 50.90 states that an application for an amendment to a license must fully describe the desired changes. Please describe any sections of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report that are affected, and any changes to those sections, that result from this proposed license amendment relating to the Appendix G equivalent margin analysis.
