VIO 05000331/2014010-01 - DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER
Dear Mr. Vehec:
This letter acknowledges your letter to the U.
S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated October 20, 2014, which provided a response to the Notice of Violation that was issued in NRC
Inspection Report 05000331/2014010, dated September 23, 2014.
We reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201, "Notice of Violation." We have no further questions at this time and will review the implementation of your corrective actions during a future inspection to determine whether full compliance was achieved and maintained. Additionally, we understand that you intend to return other safety-related
cables in embedded conduits that have indication of past or present water intrusion, or are
believed to have been wetted to the, as designed, dry condition.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be
available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
