Dear Mr. Hinnant:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. John Caves of your staff and myself on October 16, 1998. This conversation concerned a meeting requested by you to discuss issues related to configuration management, changes in the engineering design control organization, and the effectiveness of your corporate support organizations at your utility's three nuclear power plants. This meeting has been scheduled for November 19, 1998, at 1:00 p.m.
The location of the meeting will be at the NRC Region II office, in the Main Conference Room at 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Suite 24T20, Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting is an open meeting as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20, 1994; 59 FR 48340).
