IPEC License Renewal - Request for delay in response to set 2014-01 RAIs
- Kim, Entergy has recently received draft RAIs for the GGNS LRA. These are follow-ups to Entergys responses to RAI set #50 on the GGNS LRA [same issues as for IPEC set 2014-01]. Review of these draft RAIs for GGNS indicates that their resolution will require additional GGNS-specific data.
The response to the IPEC set 2014-01 RAIs is due 9/30/14 (ML14084A387), however, Entergy would prefer to delay the response in order to address the intent of the draft GGNS-RAIs. Because Entergy used the same plant-specific data requests in its responses to GGNS LRA RAI set 50 for our work to-date on the IPEC set 2014-01 RAIs, Entergy-IPEC needs an additional three months to:
- 1. determine what additional plant-specific data may be required for response to the RAIs in set #2014-01 on the IPEC LRA
- 2. obtain this plant-specific data for IPEC
- 3. develop new RAI-response text that meets the intent of the draft GGNS-RAIs
- 4. review the potential impact of the new RAI-response text for IPEC.
Please let me know whether a proposed response date of 12/30/2014 is acceptable to the NRC.
